Melissa Geiseman
“I was born and raised in a very small farming community in rural Michigan. I was not raised in a Christian home and only attended church off and on with friends throughout my childhood. I had never stepped foot in a Baptist church until I moved to North Carolina. In 2010, I started attending a very small Baptist church with my now husband. I immediately started feeling the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I was moved by every song, every sermon and every prayer. On July 26, 2011, at the age of 29 years old, I was baptized after trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior! I am so very thankful that if “any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).”
Melissa was born in Sebewaing, Michigan. She relocated to Raleigh in 2007 where she met her husband, who was instrumental in leading her to the Lord. They met in the breakroom of their first jobs in North Carolina when a clock fell off the wall. She then married her best friend, Mike, in 2012 and now have one daughter who attends Friendship. Melissa has earned an MS degree from Ferris State University. She and her family enjoy taking advantage of all that North Carolina has to offer, from collecting shells at the coast, to hiking the mountain trails.
