Encouragement & Development Teen & Student Ministries at FBC

We believe the teenage years are when many life-long habits are developed, so it’s a key time to develop with Christ’s teachings. At Friendship, the goal is that our teens would grow to know and love Jesus, worship God, and enjoy Him forever. They spend time together in the Scriptures learning about God and His rescuing work through Jesus. And while our teens are dedicated to serious discipleship, they are also committed to having some not-so-serious fun. At FBC, your teen will build relationships, grow as a person, and learn more about God’s Word–all while having a blast!

Sunday School

Each Sunday, teens meet together for a time of Bible teaching and life application. They will have the opportunity to fellowship (sometimes over breakfast) before sitting down for an interactive time of solid biblical application from teachers who understand what it means to be a teenager. Our study of God’s Word includes topics such as understanding and sharing our faith, following God’s leading in our lives, navigating choices in a complex culture, and many other Bible subjects. Classes are divided between grades 6-8 and grades 9-12.

Events, Camps, & Mission Trips

There’s always something going on for teens at FBC. In addition to our Wednesday evening Youth Meetings for 9-12 graders and Life 2.0 groups for 6-8 graders, we also host and organize a variety of events, summer camps, outreach programs, missions trips, and more throughout the year. We also have a Youth Leadership Council where we encourage our younger members to help lead our youth group and train them to serve more broadly in whichever church God leads them to as adults.

Friendship Christian School

Friendship Christian School (FCS) is one of the most important ministries of FBC. FCS offers curricula for students ranging from three-year-old preschool all the way up through 12th grade. We also offer a Focused Learning Program to meet the needs of students with certain limited learning challenges. Our purpose is to make much of our Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel through the preaching of His Word and the making of disciples. At Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) we teach the Bible in order to facilitate spiritual growth in all of God’s people and to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship. God has graciously used Friendship to further His work both locally and across the globe since 1965.
