Are You New to FBC? What to Expect at Friendship Baptist Church

Looking for a body of like-minded believers, curious about Christianity, or just visiting the area? We would be honored to have you join us for a service, and we would consider it a privilege to be able to share the truth of God’s Word with you and your family.

When you arrive at Friendship, greeters in the Welcome Center will be glad to help you find nurseries, children’s rooms, the sanctuary, or anything else you need. Our worship services are open to people of any age, gender, religious belief, disability, handicap, race, or ethnicity. Meaningful and life-changing discoveries can be made as we learn, love, and live the truth found in God’s Word through expository preaching, discipleship and service opportunities, and fellowship. Childcare Information

Children are an important part of our FBC family. Our mission and passion is for our children to know God, love God, and serve God. We are excited about partnering with parents to minister God’s grace to our children!

We provide quality care in a safe and secure environment, where sharing the beauty of the gospel of Christ is our goal. We offer childcare for children from birth to age four during Adult Bible Fellowships and the morning worship service. We take very special care in screening and selecting our childcare providers, including a full criminal background check and an extensive training and approval process.

We also offer classes for elementary-aged children during our Sunday School time. One of our greeters will happily guide you to your child’s class location when you arrive. If you have children with special needs, we’ll work with you to provide the appropriate level of care and assistance needed for your child. We want to make sure they can learn about Jesus in a loving and safe environment while you attend the main worship service. Please ask a greeter for more information, or pick up an info sheet at the Welcome Center.

Never Been to Church?

That’s ok! You’re just as welcome here at FBC as anyone else. You can expect to meet people who are not perfect but are seeking to grow in Christ. We have services, Bible studies, and fellowships for people of all ages and situations, so there’s something here for you. Whether you currently ascribe to another religion or are just starting your walk with God, we’re here to help you learn and grow. It’s never too late!

Worship Services

Friendship Baptist Church has both morning and evening services on Sundays and a midweek service on Wednesday evening. All are invited to join us in the auditorium for each service. You can expect preaching and teaching that is biblical in its content and practical in its application. Elementary age children can pick up a special worksheet to complete during the service.  Children ages 3-5 are welcome to attend a separate service on Sunday morning where they can learn God’s truths on their level. We also have a Spanish-language service that meets in the chapel (room A-10). See our schedule of services for more detailed times and locations.

Music

We seek to demonstrate our love and reverence for God as we sing a variety of fresh, conservative songs in addition to those reflecting a rich heritage of traditional hymnology. We strive to incorporate beautiful music with lyrics that are biblically accurate and doctrinally clear.

Choir & Orchestra

Members who participate in the FBC choir and orchestra find opportunities for both fellowship and ministry as they use their musical abilities to magnify God in congregational worship, teach songs to the church, and present cantatas and other edifying musical presentations.

At Friendship Baptist Church (FBC) we teach the Bible in order to facilitate spiritual growth in all of God’s people and to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship.
